Many hats, one heart: women growing rural communities

Celebrate rural women at a short lunchtime gathering with speakers, stories, and a creative “Hats we wear” craft, honouring the many roles women carry.

Join Central Tablelands Local Land Services for a warm and uplifting celebration of rural women as part of the International Year of Women Farmers. This short lunchtime gathering will bring women together to share stories, connect, and reflect on the many roles they play in their families, farms, and communities.

The event will feature a series of short talks from local women, each offering their own insights, experiences, and encouragement for others living and working on the land.

Guests will also take part in a hands‑on craft activity, “The hats we wear,” where each woman creates a personalised keepsake representing the different roles she carries with pride.

A light lunch will be provided, offering a relaxed space for conversation, connection, and celebration of the strength and heart of rural women.
