Learn about your soil types, nutrients and fertility flows across your farm, and how to manage your soil to its capability at this practical 2-part workshop series.
Event details:
Join North Coast Local Land Services for a hands-on, two-part workshop designed to help you better understand and manage your soils.
Day 1: Soil health basics:
Soil formation, physical properties, land capability, and DIY testing as a practical session.
Attendees will receive farm maps and 2x pasture soil chemistry testing kits per farm if attending day 2.
Day 2: Nutrient Smart Soils:
Learn to interpret your test results and address the main soil constraints.
Introduction to nutrient budgeting.
(Usually held 8 weeks after session one- early June).
Additional details:
Locations of workshops will be sent before the workshop.
Each session has space for 15 businesses- you may register up to 2 people per business.
