Overview of this event
North West Local Land Services invites landholders in the Walgett and Collarenebri area to join the invasive species pest team for a workshop to learn about the different methods of pest animal control and monitoring that can be used on property.
Topics covered at the workshop include:
practical pig control
pig ecology and behaviour
importance of free feeding
trapping techniques and trapping display
baiting options
diseases and safe handling of pest animals
private contractor on site to discuss control methods.
