Hunter Local Land Services invites you to discover the essentials of responsible pig ownership, plus enjoy an engaging, hands-on session with a local mobile butcher demonstrating basic butchery techniques and pork cuts.

Our Hunter District Vet Team will also share practical insights on:
common pig diseases and recommended vaccinations
why swill feeding is illegal
exotic and zoonotic diseases
pig husbandry, nutrition and welfare
NLIS requirements for pigs and PigPass
plus information on the new electronic identification requirements for sheep and goats.
Perfect for small landholders, new pig owners, or anyone keen to improve their skills and animal care knowledge.
