Chris Warrick, GRDC Stored Grain Extension Project, covering:
Matching storage type to the purpose and budget – practical and economic considerations.
Silo and storage setup options.
Grain quality management with aeration.
Pest (weevil) ID, prevention and control.
How to optimise harvest logistics and capture seasonal price premiums
Kate Glastonbury / Cameron Murray, Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, covering plant biosecurity and grain hygiene:
Awareness and preparedness of exotic and endemic plant pests.
Geoff Minchin, Local Land Services, covering drought adoption:
Feeding livestock and the implications of storing low quality grain.
Long-term vs. medium/short-term storage options
Financial support for large investments- RIC loans, RAA support programs.

This event will be held on private property northeast of Trangie about halfway between Warren and Collie. The address will be provided to registered attendees. Please BYO chair, wear appropriate footwear and come clean, go clean.
