Join North West Local Land Services Ag team for the Rapid Herd Recovery project wrap-up webinar. 

How do I rebuild my herd after drought? This is the question that led to the Rapid Herd Recovery project which aimed to evaluate how current and emerging breeding technologies could be utilised to optimise herd rebuild and maximise genetic investment post drought.

The Rapid Herd Recovery Project, which ran from 2023-2025, was conducted on four properties in Northern New South Wales and compared the performance of 100 genotyped heifers joined to high merit sires using Fixed Time Artificial Insemination and Female Sexed Semen, to the performance of 100 heifers naturally mated on farm.

Join us for a summary of the key findings from project lead Dr Alex Ball, Rural Analytics, Armidale.

The webinar will discuss experiences, learnings and economic benefits of:

• Fixed Time Artificial Insemination
• Sexed Semen 
• genomic selection.
