Overview of this event
New to grazing management or looking to fine-tune your operation? Join Local Land Services for a field day that showcases how grazing decisions can regenerate soil health, slash production costs, and future-proof your farm.
Event details:
Hosted by Murray Local Land Services, this event takes you behind the scenes at Mt Narra Narra Station (4,400 ha near Holbrook), where the Coughlan family runs a high-performance grazing operation. Alongside their Tarabah property near Morundah, they manage 4,000 breeders annually - producing beef at impressively low cost, while maintaining a focus on sustainability.
They will be joined by:
· Walter Jehne, soil microbiologist – sharing how grazing timing, intensity and recovery can build soil health.
· Dom Walker, RCS facilitator – providing simple profit principles that you can apply to your own farm.
This field day will give you practical ideas to regenerate soil health, reduce production costs, and build a more resilient farm.
Additional details:
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
The day will include a paddock walk, so please dress appropriately.
