Join North West Local Land Services in the Bingara - Warialda area for three practical Top fodder workshops on producing quality hay and silage.
Event details:
This three-day course is designed to cover everything you need to know about hay and silage making. Some of the topics covered during theory and practical on-farm field trip sessions include:
economics and use of hay in the farming system
principles and science of hay making
crop/pasture selection
factors that affect hay quality and quantity
making high quality hay and silage.
The workshops will be delivered by Mr Neil Griffiths, former NSW DPIRD Pasture Production Technical Specialist and Top Fodder coordinator.
Session 2 and 3 location and dates will be decided after session 1.
Additional details:
Cost: $200 per business (includes up to 2 people per business)
Morning tea and lunch provided.
Please bring sun protection and a water bottle (potentially a chair, will confirm when location is decided).
