Early weaning

The hot and dry weather since the start of the year have had a dramatic impact on conditions across the Central Tablelands, with dam levels dropping significantly and feed quality declining.

By weaning earlier in a tough season, you can:

  • maintain herd fertility
  • save on feed costs
  • save water
  • cull non-productive females earlier.
