The hot and dry weather since the start of the year have had a dramatic impact on conditions across the Central Tablelands, with dam levels dropping significantly and feed quality declining.

By weaning earlier in a tough season, you can:

save water
cull non-productive females earlier.

Farmers adapting to risks and markets (FARM) project

Central Tablelands Local Land Services is helping farmers to reduce farming emissions by improving farm management practices and technology.

Local Land Services worked with land managers to improve the condition, extent and connectivity of Box Gum Grassy Woodlands.

Bringing back the glossy black-cockatoo

Local Land Services worked with partners to raise community awareness of the threats facing the Great Glossy-Black Cockatoo and assisted to install nest boxes at targeted locations.

Environmental Markets Leadership Program

The Environmental Markets Leadership Program (EMLP) was a first-of-its-kind initiative in Australia designed to build capacity in natural capital and environmental markets.

Foot-and-mouth Disease Prevention and Preparedness Program

Local Land Services delivered this project to boost capacity to respond to emergency animal diseases, particularly the threat of Foot-and-mouth disease.
