Market experts headline at Over the Gate 26 livestock producers forum
Cattle and sheep producers looking to sharpen their business decisions for next season or the next decade are being encouraged to register for Over the Gate 26, a South East Local Land Services livestock producer forum being held in Goulburn on Thursday 12 November, 2026.
The one-day livestock producers forum will be held at Goulburn Race Club from 10 am to 6:30 pm, bringing together six respected industry speakers, interactive Q&A panels and a producer interview, with practical, actionable ideas producers can take back to their own businesses. Humans of Agriculture’s Oli le Lievre will MC the day.
South East Local Land Services Sustainable Agriculture Facilitator, Henry Goodall said the forum was designed to give sheep and cattle producers direct access to leading market analysts, researchers and fellow producers under one roof.
“The forum will focus on improving produc-tion performance and helping enterprises respond to evolving market and consumer expectations,” Henry said.
“We’ve brought together six respected voices from across the industry, from global market analysts to local producers, so attendees hear both the big picture and the on-farm reality.”
“Each session is followed by an interactive Q&A panel, so producers can put their own questions to the experts and hear how others are tackling similar challenges on their properties.”
The day’s program includes international beef market analysis from Simon Quilty of Global AgriTrends, sheep genetics insights from MLA’s Peta Bradley, carbon opportunities from NSW DPIRD’s Warwick Badgery, wool market forecasting from Andrew Woods of Independent Commodity Services, and farm business planning from Agrista’s John Francis alongside Mandurama producer Stuart Tait.
Registration is $30 per person and will include lunch, afternoon tea and evening canapés, with the day rounding out at ‘Conversation Corner’, an informal networking session where producers can connect with speakers and each other over shared ideas and experiences.
“Tickets are limited, so I’d encourage producers to register early,” Henry said.
“This is a great opportunity to invest a day in your business and come away with ideas you can put into action straight away.”
Over the Gate 26 will be held on Thursday 12 November at Goulburn Race Club, Racecourse Drive, Goulburn, from 10 am to 6:30 pm. Tickets are limited and can be booked online.
