2025 Dramatic Minds Festival
High school students from across the region are gearing up for the 2025 Dramatic Minds Festival, to be held Thursday, 13 November 2025.
The Festival, which will be streamed online, will feature filmed drama, film, dance, art and photography from schools from across the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD).
Students have spent months researching and preparing a variety of creative presentations. All presentations will explore mental health and wellbeing from the perspective of the students.
District Clinical Leader for School Link, John Dean, said students from schools across the region, including Barham High, Temora High, Deniliquin High, Mount Austin High, West Wyalong High and the Wagga Wagga Christian College, will be presenting their entries. While competition is not the primary focus, the entries will be judged by a panel of three.
“The Dramatic Minds Festival gives students the opportunity to explore the mental health and wellbeing challenges in their schools and communities,” Mr Dean said.
“We are aware that, for some students, participation in the Dramatic Minds Festival has been part of a pathway to participation in the arts after completing their high school education.”
Teacher involvement has again been key to the Dramatic Minds Festival being possible.
“Both teachers who have been involved for many years and some who are new to the Dramatic Minds Festival have contributed long hours and advice in helping students develop their creative presentations,” Mr Dean said.
All are welcome to watch the exceptional work of the students involved. The streaming link for the 2025 Dramatic Minds Festival will be shared with participating schools and will be also available through the Dramatic Minds Facebook page
The Festival will begin at 10am and will conclude by noon.
