About us
The Multidisciplinary Orthopaedic Clinic (MDOC) aims to improve the management of hip and knee arthritis for people on elective joint replacement surgery waiting lists. Attending the clinic will improve readiness for surgery and recovery afterwards.
Referral information
Patients on Nepean Hospital's 365 day waiting lists for elective knee or hip replacement are eligible to attend. Referrals are not required for eligible patients. Patients on the waiting list are contacted by MDOC.
Clinic services and hours
MDOC provides physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, specialist nursing and social work services. Please note: MDOC does not provide acute orthopaedic services such as fracture care.
The clinic runs Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
MDOC provides an outreach clinic to Blue Mountains Hospital once per month.
