Other services
The Mental Health and Substance Use Service (MHSUS) offers specialised integrated programs for people who experience both mental health and substance use issues. It is a voluntary based service based at the Calvary Mater Hospital, Waratah.
People can self-refer or be referred by clinicians/stakeholders/GPs following discussion with the person. There will be an intake phone call from a clinician to determine the most suitable service provision. For some this may be an initial comprehensive mental health assessment. For others, this could be a referral to other relevant services. For those suitable and willing to engage with the service and groups, MHSUS delivers a range of group programs. These programs focus on enhancing motivation, developing relapse prevention, psychoeducation and mutual support.
