Narrabri Community Health is located within the Narrabri Hospital premises. All referrals of acute presentations are triaged by services and our clients are then advised of treatment recommendations. Our dedicated healthcare team is here to provide personalised care for every stage of life. We focus on accessible, patient-centred services that promote wellbeing and recovery.
Our services
Narrabri Community Health Service offers a wide range of health services with a team of specialist healthcare professionals. We provide health services from mental health and chronic disease management to child and family health, Aboriginal health, and aged care, we are here to support the healthcare needs of our local community.
Location
Narrabri is located near the stunning wilderness of Mount Kaputar and the beautiful Namoi Valley, it is a great base for outdoor adventure. From canoeing and camping to exploring volcanic formations, this region is spectacular. The magnificent Mount Kaputar National Park is a short drive east of Narrabri, and a perfect spot for camping, cycling, horse riding and birdwatching. The Sawn Rocks walking track is a reminder of Mount Kaputar’s volcanic past. Narrabri is also an agricultural heartland, the region produces fine wheat and juicy beef. You can buy local produce such as olives, wine, honey and pasta made from quality durum wheat that's locally grown.
Getting there
Narrabri is around 6-hours drive from both Sydney and Brisbane. The region is also accessible by train from Sydney, which takes around 7-hours. Link Airways operates from Narrabri to Brisbane 3 days a week and Narrabri to Sydney 3 days a week. Other airlines fly into Moree Airport and you can rent a car for the 1-hour drive north.
