In 2018, the NSW Productivity Commissioner undertook a review of payroll tax administration in NSW. The purpose of the Review was to identify options to reduce the costs employers face in meeting NSW payroll tax obligations.
The NSW Government agreed to all 12 recommendations made by the Review. Implementation of these recommendations will make it easier to do business in NSW by reducing the paperwork for payroll tax compliance and enhancing business productivity.
Feedback and submissions were invited on the Review of Payroll Tax Administration consultation guide. Submissions for this consultation have now closed.
