Simes Bridge is now open to the public, delivering a safer and more flood-resilient connection for the Whian Whian community in northern NSW.

Nambucca Valley residents will have access to new, reliable, more resilient, and safer transport connections, with work set to begin on six new concrete bridges, replacing aging and vulnerable timber structures across the shire. 

Mid North Coast communities will benefit from improved safety, reliability and resilience with work starting on a new and upgraded Stoney Creek Bridge on Pembrooke Road at Wauchope.

A $5 million recovery program is locking in its first round of priority projects to fix damaged agricultural drainage systems across Northern and Mid North NSW, helping primary producers bounce back from the severe impacts of Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

The Minns Labor Government is backing Bellingen Shire with a $20,000 grant to support communities impacted by the closure of Waterfall Way following storms in January 2026.

Landholders across the Northern Rivers are working to repair creeks and riverbanks damaged by the 2022 floods, replanting native vegetation along 40km of riverbanks, fencing off waterways, and improving how water moves as part of a pilot program.
