iPhone

Go to Settings > (Apps) > Phone > Wi-fi calling and turn it on (some iPhones skip Apps and go directly to Phone).

Samsung

Go to Settings > Connections > Wi-fi calling and turn it on.

Google Pixel

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Advanced and turn on wi-fi calling.

Your phone may also ask for your location for emergency services. Follow the prompts to complete setup.

Priority activities - always OK
  • Make phone calls (over wi-fi) or FaceTime audio
  • Send texts and emails
  • Use social media, news, and apps like Hazards Near Me (limit videos)
When less busy - OK during quiet times
  • Send photos and images (keep the size small)
  • Listen to music (such as Spotify)
  • Watch video content (such as Netflix, YouTube – but avoid video marathons) 
Please avoid - not suitable
  • No Zoom, Teams, FaceTime video (or any other apps that include live video)
  • No live-stream videos or TV (such as watching live news or events)
  • No large downloads (such as software updates or large files)
  • No online gaming (such as multiplayer games)
