Our commitment to disability inclusion started in December 2021. That’s when we published our first Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP).
Back then, 2.9% of our staff identified as having a disability. By 2024, this number has grown to 4.2%.
NSW Treasury has a volunteer network for diversity, inclusion, and belonging. The disability inclusion initiatives are driven by passionate volunteers. They work hard to promote inclusion and deliver the DIAP.
This plan aims to build on the successes of our first Disability Inclusion Action Plan. It has commitments that are aspirational but achievable. They can make real impact on inclusion at NSW Treasury.
Our goal continues to be to reflect the diversity of the NSW population. We want to have at least 5.6% of staff who identify as people with disability.
This plan supports the NSW Disability Inclusion Plan (DIP) 2021–2025. Our DIAP will be reviewed and updated if necessary upon launch of new DIP 2025–2029. The DIP has four pillars, and each pillar has actions and measures.
