Builder appointed to deliver Dubbo workplace hub
Dubbo’s new $58.6 million workplace hub is one step closer, with a builder appointed to deliver the project.
The NSW Government, through Property and Development NSW, will partner with Renascent Australia to redevelop the existing Government-owned buildings at 37-39 Carrington Avenue and 142 Brisbane Street.
The development will create 440 construction jobs and deliver $209 million in economic benefits to the Central West.
When completed, the 4,350-square metre Dubbo workplace hub will accommodate up to 700 public servants from eight Government agencies.
Renascent Australia was appointed as part of a select tender process and has extensive experience delivering projects across the Central West, including the Wentworth Golf Club and the Dudley Private Hospital extension in Orange. With an office based in Orange, Renascent will be working with contractors from the Central West and Orana to deliver the project.
The approved development application for the Carrington Avenue site will enable a new internal fit-out, with a new three-storey extension to create additional modern office space. The existing building and new extension will be wrapped in a new, environmentally efficient facade.
The new hub will preserve the heritage features of the Brisbane Street building, while incorporating an accessible lift, new stairs, and a new roof.
The two buildings will be connected by a landscaped park featuring a yarning circle and pedestrian walkway.
The Hub will also be environmentally sustainable, with targets set to meet or exceed 5.5 Star NABERS Energy, 3 Star NABERS Water and 5.0 star Greenstar ratings.
Work on the fit-out will commence in June, with the project due for completion by the end of 2026.
