Goulburn's chapel courtyard gets a makeover
The chapel garden courtyard area of Goulburn Base Hospital has had a makeover thanks to volunteers from We Help Ourselves (WHOS) Mandala House.
This work, part of the organisation's community outreach program, aimed to restore the area to its former beauty and create a peaceful, welcoming space for staff and visitors. The courtyard had become overgrown with weeds, and the surrounding stone pathways were cluttered with debris.
The volunteers arrived early in the morning, and over the course of several hours, cleared the weeds, trimmed the hedges, swept the pathways, and removed accumulated litter.

WHOS Mandala House is a residential Therapeutic Community (TC), located at Goulburn. Its goal is to help individuals find freedom from alcohol and other drug dependence (AOD) and discover a better way of living.
This project is part of WHOS ongoing efforts to connect residents with the community, focusing on local spaces that are important to the people who live nearby. By offering their time and energy, the volunteers not only improve the physical surroundings of the hospital but also reinforce the importance of community involvement with program participants.
Southern NSW Local Health District would like to thank the staff and residents of WHOS Mandala House for their support.
