Southern NSW Local Health District is committed to reconciliation and strengthening our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We’ve drafted a new Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and we’re inviting your feedback to help shape the final plan.
At Southern, our work is enriched by the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, partners and community members. We are committed to strengthening these relationships and continuing to walk alongside communities.
We’ve drafted a new Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) - a roadmap that guides how we strengthen relationships, build respect, and create meaningful opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Our plan will support that vision by helping us retain and support a strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce, foster inclusive workplaces that value and respect culture, and deliver services that are culturally safe and responsive to community needs.
We want to ensure this plan reflects the voices of the communities we serve. Your feedback will help shape our final Reconciliation Action Plan and guide how we move forward together.
You can read the draft and share your thoughts via the NSW Government Have Your Say website. Consultation is open until Sunday 15 June 2025.
Once consultation closes, we’ll review community feedback and finalise the plan for submission to Reconciliation Australia for endorsement. The endorsed plan will be published on our website following approval by the Southern NSW Local Health District Board.
