The Eurobodalla community is set to benefit from new Key Health Worker Accommodation, helping attract and retain essential healthcare staff to the region.
Moruya is one of more than 20 locations across rural, regional and remote NSW to receive new or upgraded accommodation as part of a statewide $200.1 million Key Health Worker Accommodation program.

The recently purchased accommodation includes five new three-bedroom dwellings, with the first healthcare workers already living on site and supporting local health services.
Further worker accommodation is planned for the Eurobodalla region, with additional housing to be constructed at the site of the new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital. Planning and design are scheduled to commence this year, with construction to progress following completion of the new hospital in 2027.

Communities in Crookwell and Bega are also expected to benefit, with new Key Health Worker Accommodation projects planned for each town.
Southern NSW Local Health District is one of nine local health districts participating in the statewide program, which supports the delivery of accommodation for health workers across regional NSW.
The program includes building new accommodation, refurbishing existing living quarters, and purchasing suitable residential properties to support health workforce needs.
In addition to current investment, earlier accommodation projects valued at $45.3 million across the Murrumbidgee, Southern NSW and Far West Local Health Districts have been completed and are now fully operational.

"Access to appropriate and affordable accommodation is an important part of supporting a sustainable rural health workforce," a Southern NSW Local Health District spokesperson said.
"These homes are already helping attract and retain healthcare workers in Moruya, supporting continuity of care and strengthening local health services for the community."
