Southern NSW Local Health District is further strengthening the local health workforce, with a recruitment campaign aimed at attracting skilled and passionate professionals to the new $330 million Eurobodalla Regional Hospital.
The 'Be part of something bigger' recruitment campaign features a video series profiling current Southern NSW Local Health District staff, who share their personal and professional journeys living and working in the Eurobodalla region.
The campaign showcases the range of roles and unique career opportunities that will support the new, purpose-built Eurobodalla Regional Hospital, which is expected to open in 2027.

Minister for Regional Health Ryan Park said the new hospital would create exciting opportunities for healthcare professionals and support staff looking to build their careers in regional NSW.
"As preparations continue for the hospital's opening in 2027, we encourage people to register their Expression of Interest to be among the first to hear about upcoming roles," Mr Park said.
Southern NSW Local Health District is also encouraging the Eurobodalla community to support the recruitment drive by spreading the word among family, friends and professional networks. Community members are encouraged to share and talk about the campaign to help build momentum and attract future staff to the region.
More than 160 additional positions will be offered across a range of areas, including:
- Aboriginal health
- allied health
- anaesthetics
- biomedical engineering
- corporate and support services
- emergency medicine
- general medicine
- general surgery
- mental health
- nursing and midwifery
- obstetrics and gynaecology
- pharmacy.
As part of the campaign, interested individuals are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest form to receive updates and direct communications about roles as they become available.
This campaign complements active recruitment already underway for general physicians, junior medical officers, paediatricians and paediatric clinical nursing positions. A number of key roles have already been filled, including Intensive Care Unit Director, Magnetic Resonance Imaging Manager and Nurse Unit Managers.
Member for Bega Dr Michael Holland said the new hospital represented a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals seeking to make a difference in regional communities.
"This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to open a new hospital and deliver innovative care in a dynamic regional setting," Dr Holland said.
"I encourage anyone considering a career move, or a new start in this beautiful region, to get involved and help us shape the future of healthcare in Eurobodalla and surrounding communities."
All existing staff at Batemans Bay and Moruya hospitals will transition to the new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital.
The new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital will be larger than the current Batemans Bay and Moruya hospitals combined, delivering expanded services to help meet the growing healthcare needs of communities across Southern NSW.
The $330 million Eurobodalla Regional Hospital development includes a new Intensive Care Unit, an expanded Emergency Department, increased access to chemotherapy and renal dialysis, new operating theatres and a day surgery unit, ambulatory care, paediatrics, maternity and special care nursery, mental health and specialist services, and the district's first MRI service.
Southern NSW Local Health District Chief Executive Margaret Bennett said the campaign was an opportunity to showcase both the career opportunities and lifestyle benefits available in the region.
"We are incredibly proud to launch this recruitment campaign and share the inspiring stories of our passionate staff," Ms Bennett said.
"The Eurobodalla region offers the perfect balance of rewarding work and a wonderful lifestyle. We invite healthcare professionals from all backgrounds to join us and help shape the future of care in our community."
