Championing NSW Music: Call for NSW-based Artists/Acts and Songwriters

The NSW Government has recently introduced the Championing NSW Music Policy which encourages government agencies to prioritise the use of NSW music and artists/acts whenever we use music; this includes performances, advertising campaigns and background music at events.

To help government agencies build their knowledge of the immense talent calling NSW home, Sound NSW is conducting a call out for NSW-based artists/acts and songwriters to join a database of NSW music professionals. 

Please note that submitting your details to this database does not guarantee future work from the NSW Government, however, it will increase the opportunity to be contacted for NSW Government performances, commissions and sync projects.

Artist/Act refers to any solo or group of musicians, performers or producers who record and perform new and original contemporary music.

Songwriter refers to an individual who writes the music and lyrics for an artist/act.

This helps us understand who creates the music and lyrics.
