NSW is brimming with exceptional talent and the industry plays a critical role in the state's economic and social wellbeing.  

 

Through targeted programs and initiatives, Sound NSW champions and invests in the contemporary music industry to deliver positive outcomes for artists and audiences. We provide grants, funding and support for NSW artists, live music venues, organisations and professionals in the NSW music industry.   

 

The activities supported by Sound NSW range from the recording and promotion of new and original projects to touring and industry event travel, both nationally and internationally.   

 

We support projects big and small and understand that these funding opportunities can open many doors for artists, managers, producers and countless others who play a critical role in the state’s contemporary music industry.

2026 Generations - Western Sydney Music Fellowship recipients

Generations - Western Sydney Music Fellowship

Generations is a fellowship program in partnership with Sound NSW, Powerhouse Museum and Blacktown Arts to support Western Sydney (early career) contemporary musicians/bands and their development within the NSW music industry.

Contemporary Music Development Grants

The Contemporary Music Development Grants support artists and acts to create and promote new music, enable music organisations to deliver significant sector development projects, and offer dedicated programs to support First Nations artists, acts and organisations.
