About Public Interest Disclosures
A Public Interest Disclosure (PID) can be made about the following types of serious wrongdoing:
- corrupt conduct
- a government information contravention
- a local government pecuniary interest contravention
- serious maladministration
- a privacy contravention
- a serious and substantial waste of public money.
TCO is committed to taking appropriate action in response to all reports of wrongdoing, including those that are not considered to be serious wrongdoing under the PID Act. If your report is not a PID, it will be dealt with under the Department’s appropriate internal procedure.
