The Transcultural Mental Health Centre (TMHC) was established in 1993. It is an NSW statewide service hosted within the Western Sydney Local Health District.
We work in partnership with the mental health and multicultural sector and NSW Health system to support mental health and wellbeing. Our central focus is to improve access, equity and outcomes for people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. We work with:
- CALD communities and community organisations to increase knowledge about mental health and pathways to care.
- Health professionals and a broad range of services and partner organisations to advance inclusive, culturally responsive and safe mental health care across all stages of life and migration experiences.
