About the Transcultural Mental Health Line
The Transcultural mental health line (TMHL) is a telephone service that supports people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds living in NSW. The service if available to you or anyone you know who needs help.
The line is open from 9am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. You can call the TMHL on 1800 648 911.

When you call in, you will receive information in your language and be linked to the right care, which includes:
- community services
- counsellors and GPs (doctors)
- psychologists and public mental health services.
The service offers:
- culturally responsive in-language over-the-phone support
- connections to the most appropriate mental health and community services
- emotional support and information on how to improve your wellbeing and mental health
- support for you to care for someone with a mental health concern.

If you need language support to talk to this service:
- call the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) on 131 450
- state your preferred language and ask for the Transcultural Mental Health Line 1800 648 911.
