Need to know more about access to Centrelink for migrants, refugees and other newly arrived residents?
This free online workshop will focus on providing practical skills to community workers who are supporting migrant and refugee women and families, particularly those at risk of homelessness and/or experiencing domestic and family violence.
Presenter, Senior Solicitor Donna Flood, will look at eligibility checklists and issues including residency criteria, waiting periods, Special Benefit, domestic and family violence, the impact of overseas assets and income and more.
Target audience: Community workers and volunteers, social workers and lawyers working with migrant and refugee families.
