Each May, Schizophrenia Awareness Week (SAW) shines a spotlight on schizophrenia, a condition often misunderstood and surrounded by stigma.
The theme for SAW this year is Beyond the Headlines. Beyond the Headlines invites people to look beyond stigma and see the person behind the diagnosis. Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family and a community.
Caring for someone with schizophrenia can be isolating, but no one should have to do it alone.
Connection, understanding, and support can make all the difference.
