Overview of this event
This year, TheMHS Conference theme is 'Illuminating Hope, Inclusion and Connection'. The event will focus on hopefulness and the needs of people most impacted by their mental health challenges and experiences of social inclusion.
The conference will explore the importance of thinking, actions, experience, and reform that promotes social inclusion, personal connection and hopefulness for everyone; especially for those of us living with mental health challenges.
The event will:
- focus on the importance of psycho-social reform and the relationship to the NDIS
- celebrate programs that enable full citizenship and social value and build human capital and connection
- highlight policy and service delivery reform.
The conference will also highlight the many voices still missing from our discussions, including people:
- in long stay psychiatric settings
- in the criminal justice system
- sleeping rough.
In 2026, TheMHS Conference will explore and discuss the efforts already underway to inspire and transform mental health reform, and will do this through:
- keynotes
- panel debates
- performances
- presentations
- improbable thinking and human connection.
