Western Sydney University
Travel advice for getting to Western Sydney University.
Light Rail now services Western Sydney University’s South, City and Westmead Campuses
The Parramatta Light Rail is open, connecting Westmead to Carlingford. Trams just 9 minutes apart can now take you from Parramatta Square straight to Western’s Parramatta South campus.
The Yallamundi light rail stop is just a 5-minute walk from the Parramatta South Campus.
Frequent services run between 5 AM and 1 AM, providing a convenient link to our Westmead, Parramatta City and Parramatta South campuses.
In many cases it is faster and more convenient to travel to Campus by public transport than private vehicle.
Bankstown City Campus
Bankstown train station is a short walk from campus and is serviced by the T2 Inner West and Leppington and T3 Bankstown Lines providing links across Greater Sydney including Liverpool, Parramatta, Inner West and CBD.
Buses stop right outside the Bankstown City Campus on Rickard Road, the Bankstown Central Shopping Centre and the Bankstown Train Station, providing frequent services to nearby suburbs.
Trip changes are coming to the T3 Bankstown Line from September 2024. Use the Trip Planner to find the best routes during the changes.
