Staff from across the state came together for the NSW Trustee and Guardian 2025 All Staff Forum, a day dedicated to connection, collaboration and shared learning.
The Forum brought together colleagues from across the organisation to reflect on the year so far, explore new ideas and strengthen relationships. The day focused on change, wellbeing and collaboration, with a mix of expert speakers and interactive activities designed to spark conversation and participation.
Supporting wellbeing and performance
Psychologist and author Dr Kristy Goodwin opened the day with an engaging session on neuro-performance, exploring how aligning daily habits with our human operating system can support wellbeing, resilience and performance at work. Her insights encouraged practical, achievable changes that staff can apply in their day-to-day roles.
This was followed by a session from Heizy Serrels, who shared the neuroscience behind switching off in an increasingly digital world. Staff gained a better understanding of how constant connectivity affects the brain, along with practical strategies to reduce mental overload, manage stress and improve focus.
Collaboration through creativity
A highlight of the day was a collaborative art activity led by Caitlin Trindall, a proud Gomeroi woman and founder of Mirii Art. Staff were invited to contribute to a single artwork that symbolised the people, perspectives and shared purpose that make up NSW Trustee and Guardian.

The creative energy continued with the Tower Challenge, where small teams worked together to design and build the tallest free-standing structure possible using limited materials. The activity showcased teamwork, problem-solving and a healthy dose of friendly competition.
Celebrating excellence and service
The Forum concluded with a celebration of excellence and commitment across the organisation. End-of-year Excellence Award recipients were recognised for their outstanding contributions, alongside staff acknowledged through the Service Recognition program for reaching significant career milestones.
The 2025 All Staff Forum was a reminder that strong outcomes for the people we serve are built through collaboration, empathy and shared commitment. By coming together, staff reinforced the values that underpin our work across NSW.
