Planning for the future isn't always easy. Knowing where to start, what decisions need to be made and who to turn to for trusted advice can feel overwhelming.
That's why we brought our Taking Charge of Your Tomorrow expos back to Wagga Wagga and Albury, helping people across Southern NSW access practical information, expert guidance and local support services all in one place.
Our free community events gave attendees the opportunity to learn more about important topics including:
- Wills
- Powers of Attorney
- Enduring Guardianship
- legal, financial and lifestyle planning
- community and support services available across the region.
Attendees also heard from guest speakers and connected with organisations working across aged care, disability, legal, health and community services, making it easier to understand the support available in their local area.
One of the greatest benefits for many attendees was the opportunity to speak directly with our Wills and Estate Planning team. Staff answered questions, discussed individual circumstances and helped people take practical next steps, including booking appointments for personalised support.
Throughout the expos, conversations focused on the importance of planning ahead and documenting future wishes to help provide certainty for individuals and the people who matter most to them.
The impact of these conversations was reflected in attendee feedback. One attendee shared:
"I learned more in a few hours than I have in years of trying to figure this out on my own."
The expos also strengthened connections across Southern NSW by bringing State and Commonwealth government agencies, community organisations and service providers together in one location. This made it easier for attendees to explore the support available to them, ask questions, and connect with services they may not have otherwise known about.
Representatives from organisations including Service NSW, Services Australia, Seniors Rights Service, the NDIS and Legal Aid were among those providing advice and information throughout the events.

Attendees and exhibitors welcomed the opportunity to connect face to face, share knowledge and build relationships that continue to benefit regional communities beyond the events themselves.
Feedback from attendees and exhibitors highlighted the value of delivering these events locally, giving people the opportunity to access trusted information and support close to home while encouraging conversations about planning ahead.
