NSW Women of the Year Awards 2026
Nominations for the NSW Women of the Year Awards 2026 are closed. Finalists will be announced in February 2026.
The NSW Women of the Year Awards celebrate the incredible women and girls improving the lives of people in NSW.

NSW Women's Week 2026
Each year, NSW Women’s Week is hosted to coincide with International Women’s Day (IWD). NSW Women's Week 2026 will commence on Monday 2 March and run until Sunday 8 March.

Local Women of the Year Awards 2026
LWOTY is an annual program that provides Members of Parliament (MP) with the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contributions of a local woman in their electorate. LWOTY sits alongside the NSW Women of the Year Awards celebration in Women’s Week, on Thursday 5 March 2026.
NSW Women's Strategy
The vision of the NSW Women’s Strategy is that women and girls in NSW:
- live and work in a safe and fair society where they are treated with respect and dignity
- have equitable access to services, resources, opportunities and protections that enable them to thrive
The strategy identifies three priority areas for action:
- economic opportunity and advancement
- health and wellbeing
- participation and empowerment
NSW Leadership Statement to advance gender equality
In February 2024, the NSW Secretaries Board came together and committed to advancing gender equality within the NSW Government and broader community through the implementation of Gender Equality Action Plans, ensuring that everyone, including women, men and gender diverse people, have equitable access, treatment and opportunities in the workplace and the community.
