NSW Women's Week
Women’s Week was established as part of an action of the NSW Women’s Strategy 2018-2022.
NSW Women’s Week refers to a series of events and activities designed to celebrate and reflect on the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, and to promote gender equality.
Committing a week specific to women in NSW provides strong visibility to the unique issues women experience; promotes important conversations and discussions amongst the community and policy makers; and creates an opportunity for greater reach and awareness of key messages.
Each year Women’s Week is adjusted as needed to coincide with International Women’s Day (IWD) held annually on the 8 March.
