Winter Morning
Freezing shaking fingers
Withdraw a single match
A sulphur capped little stick
Struck against the box
A flame is lit
It will burn quick
The task to capture
And share the rapture
Create the glow
Help fire flow
Among the twigs
And smaller kindling
To catch the branches
The flame it dances
Along paths of fire it makes
As embers wake
The fire breathing
Providing heat
The welcome crackle
As fiery soldiers
Commence their duty
A warming booty
They run throughout
The structure made
The flames to aid
And there we see
The bush TV
