Staff accommodation in Western Sydney
We offer both short‑stay and long‑stay accommodation, with motel‑style, self‑contained units.

Staff accommodation is located at 105 Bridge Road Westmead, NSW 2145
Westmead is 20km west of Sydney CBD.
The Staff Accommodation Complex is on the corner of Darcy and Bridge Roads, Westmead; 700m from the main entrance of Westmead Hospital. It is also 1km from Westmead Children’s Hospital, and less than 1km from Westmead and Wentworthville Railway Stations.
Coles supermarket is located across the road on the corner of Bridge and Darcy Roads.
How to access the Complex
The Accommodation office entry is off Darcy Road (directly opposite Westmead Private Hospital).
Units 1 to 110 (plus the office) are accessible from the Darcy Road gate.
Units 111 to 189 and Unit 190 are accessible from the Bridge Road gate.

Long stay units are not furnished (includes electric stove only)
The units are over 40 years old, and most have not been renovated.
The buildings are three levels high and do not have lifts.
Long stay accommodation
Tenants must bring their own furniture including bed linen, eating, cooking, cleaning utensils and white goods.
Motel style accommodation
- Self contained 1 & 4 bedroom air conditioned units
- Basic crockery, utensils, kettle, microwave, vacuum, iron and TV are supplied along with bed linen (sheets and blankets)
- Units are not serviced
- Internet is not supplied
Short stay accommodation
Basic crockery, utensils, toaster, kettle, microwave, vacuum, iron, TV and single bed supplied.

Long stay tenants
For long stay tenants, the stay is three months to a maximum of 12 months.
Short stay tenants
For tenants requiring short stay accommodation, the stay is for a maximum of three months.
Rental fees
- 1 bedroom units ($335 per week)*
- 2 bedroom units ($375 per week)*
- 4 bedroom units ($450 per week)*
- undercover car space ($25 per week)*

Payment of rent
- for staff with employee numbers, rent must be deducted from a member’s salary
- for staff without employee numbers, rental tax invoices will be issued fortnightly and must be paid by the due date
- for short stay tenants, all rent must be paid up-front, otherwise the booking will be cancelled.
Payment of deposit
All long stay tenants must pay six weeks deposit, otherwise the booking will be cancelled.
This amount is fully refundable on vacating (with four weeks notice) providing units are left spotless, there is no damage and keys are returned.
This amount may not be put against rent payments.
All rent must be fully paid by the vacated date.
Tenant responsibilities
Tenants are expected to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in their unit at all times.
Notice to vacate
When vacating:
- the accommodation office requires 28 days notice in writing by completing a WSLHD Notice to vacate form (PDF 54.19KB)otherwise, the deposit will not be refunded
- all rent must be paid in full prior to vacating and units/rooms must be left clean & tidy, otherwise the deposit may not be refunded
Tenants are responsible for the payment, connection and disconnection of utilities.
Availability
The units are in high demand and there is often a waiting list.
