- Visit the car park office located on the multi-storey car park P1 Lower Ground floor (LG) for assistance.

The nearest car park for Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre is car park 4.
Patients presenting for cancer treatment should take their parking ticket to the reception desk at the Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre for validation.

Tickets
All visitors, carers and patients must take a ticket on entry to the car parks.
Visitors paying for car parking via cash/EFTPOS must pay at the ticket machines before returning to their vehicle.

Visitor Buggy Service
The Westmead Hospital visitor buggy service is available to assist visitors, carers & outpatients get to their destination within Westmead Hospital.
- Visitor buggies are driven by Volunteers and are available to anyone who cannot walk to their destination. The buggy operates on level 2 (entry level) only
- Buggy service operates each day from Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm (except public holidays). There is no buggy service outside these hours. For transport assistance within the hospital outside these hours the Orderly wheelchair service is available
- There are 9 buggy stops on level 2 from which a buggy request can be made
- The service is not available to in-patients or those who can walk to their destination and cannot be pre-booked

Direct taxi telephones are provided at each entrance to the hospital - emergency, outpatients, main entrance and the dental school.
Public transport
Westmead Train Station is 250 metres from the hospital and is approximately an 8 minute walk. To walk to the hospital, exit the station onto Railway Parade, turn right at Hawkesbury Road and walk to the traffic lights at Darcy Road. Westmead Hospital is on the corner of Hawkesbury and Darcy Roads.
The Westmead Hospital Light Rail stop is located on Hawkesbury Road and metres away from the Emergency Department.

Concessional rates for car parking fees are set annually, effective from 1 July each year. They are subject to annual review to reflect increases in the consumer price index (CPI). These rates are consistent across Western Sydney Local Health District and other health facilities across the state.
Eligibility
NSW Health recognises the burden that regular or long term hospitalisation and/or treatment places on patients and their carers. Those eligible for concessional car parking include:
- patients and their *carers who require treatment over a period of time
- patients and their *carers who are attending more than twice weekly, including carers of long term patients who visit frequently
Patients and their *carers continuing to be eligible for concessional car parking include:
No form needed - concessions can be collected from Point Parking:
- holders of a valid RMS issued Mobility Parking Scheme permit
- holders of a valid Pensioner Concession Card
- holders of a valid Gold Veterans Affairs Card
- holders of a valid Health Care Card
Concessional parking application form needed - the form must be signed and completed by Nursing Unit Manager or assigned Social worker for approval and presented to the parking booth for validation:
- ongoing cancer treatment patients
- patients and their carers who are required to attend the hospital/facility for a course of treatment over a period of time greater than one week
- patients and their carers attending more frequently than twice weekly, including carers of long term patients who visit frequently
- cardiac rehabilitation education and exercise class attendees
- daily dressing outpatients
- Health Promotion education class attendees.
Patients and carers who are experiencing financial hardship, but do not meet the listed eligibility categories, are also entitled to concessional car parking.
NB: A carer is defined as a person who provides ongoing, unpaid support to a family member, neighbour or friend who needs help because of disability, terminal illness, chronic illness, mental illness and/or ageing. Anyone can become a carer, any time. A person is not a carer if they care for a person as a paid employee, a volunteer or as part of education or training.
