About the Centre for Research into Adolescents' Health
The Department of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine runs a national and international research program. This work is led by the Centre for Research into Adolescents’ Health (CRASH).
CRASH was set up to support high-quality research into young people's health. It helps develop, manage and promote research projects in a supportive environment.
CRASH was officially launched in 2003 by its Patron, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir, then Governor of NSW.
Our guiding principle
Our guiding principle is to provide an evidence base of sound clinical and epidemiological research that will help to improve the health and wellbeing of young people and their families.
The research programs focus on the main causes of morbidity and mortality in young people. Many projects aim to improve clinical care, public health, and health policies for better health outcomes.
Get involved in our research
We welcome Honours, Masters and PhD students who are interested in Adolescent Medicine research.
Our staff in the Department of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine can supervise or co-supervise student research projects. We value the contributions of research students and support their professional development.
