The Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology Research is part of the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at Westmead Hospital. We carry out research in:

Clinical Trials Unit
Our Clinical Trials Unit focuses on testing new treatments for:
- diabetes
- obesity
- pituitary disorders.
Some trials are led by Westmead clinicians. Others are part of national or international studies, or are sponsored by pharmaceutical companies.
These studies help us assess the latest treatment methods.
Research ethics
All research at Westmead Hospital is reviewed by the Research Ethics and Safety Committee to ensure it meets ethical and safety standards.
