About our service
We provide support for people, families, and community groups affected by alcohol and other drugs in the Western Sydney Local Health District.
The Network delivers fair and inclusive services, with a focus on reaching people who may face barriers to care.
Services range from prevention programs to outpatient and inpatient treatment.
What we offer
The Drug and Alcohol Network offers:
- abstinence maintenance programs
- adolescent services
- adult drug court support
- alcohol clinic services
- child and family health services
- community counselling
- hepatitis C screening and treatment
- Magistrates Early Referral Into Treatment (MERIT) Program
- opioid treatment services
- outpatient detoxification treatment
- pharmacy liaison
- population health programs.
- specialist psychology support
- Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Services (SUPPS).
The Network also supports the Children’s Hospital at Westmead to care for children whose parents or carers receive District services.

Hours of operation: Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 4:45pm. An after hours answering service is available.
Referrals: GP referral is preferred, but self referral is accepted.
Service fees: No fees apply if you have a Medicare card.
Languages: Interpreter services are available.
