We offer a range of services for men accross the region including mental health support, cancer care, fatherhood support, disease prevention services and healthy living programs.
Urological cancers
Western Sydney LHD has a comprehensive multi-disciplinary service for a range of urological cancers, including prostate cancer.

Men’s Health Physiotherapy Clinic
Westmead offers a specialised Men’s Health Physiotherapy Clinic for men who are receiving treatment for prostate cancer.
It is the only clinic of its type in the public hospital system of NSW.
An experienced men’s health physiotherapist provides modern rehabilitation of incontinence caused by surgery and/or radiation (using real-time ultrasound), and treatment to counteract the side effects of hormone therapy in the form of exercise prescription and exercise classes.
Cancer prevention services
You can access a range of preventative services, including:
- iCanQuit - for those wanting to quit smoking
- QuitLine - is a confidential telephone information and advice service, run by Cancer Institute NSW, to help smokers quit and stay quit.
- Bowel cancer screening service
The Western Sydney LHD Integrated and Community Health (ICH) team is committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of people in Western Sydney.
Our services include:
- chronic disease management
- palliative care
- foot care (podiatry)
- occupational therapy
- child and family health
- violence, abuse and neglect prevention
- diabetes care.

A guide for dads: caring for your family during perinatal mental illness
A guide for dads is a NSW Health resource for dads with information about how to take care of your baby, how to get support and how to give support.
Raising Children Network
Raising Children Network provides free, reliable, up-to-date and independent information to help families. Grown ups: fathers offers information about adjusting to fatherhood, how to support with breastfeeding, changing nappies, balancing life and work. It also contains information about antenatal and postnatal depression in men.
Raising Children Network are supported by the Australian Government and all content is reviewed by professionals.
Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia (PANDA): support for dads
PANDA supports women, men and families across Australia affected by anxiety and depression during pregnancy and in the first year of parenthood.
PANDA: Support for dads offers a mental health checklist, men's stories, information and support services.
PANDA operates Australia’s only National Helpline for individuals and their families to recover from perinatal anxiety and depression.

Mensline
MensLine Australia is the national telephone and online support, information and referral service for men with family and relationship concerns.
The service is available from anywhere in Australia and is staffed by professional counsellors, experienced in men’s issues. Call: 1300 78 99 78
