Bus changes across Western Sydney
As part of Transport’s plan to deliver a better bus network, we are looking for ways to improve bus journeys across Western Sydney. This includes additional services on key routes, more seats, timetable changes, and route changes to help provide a better-connected public transport experience.

Back to school 2026 - bus changes
- Changes have been made to improve network coverage and improve on-time running and include changes to route paths. They also aim to improve reliability, reduce duplication, and better match demand.
- Several routes have been adjusted to match new school bell times at Kellyville High School and improve service for Glenwood High School.
- Some morning trips on bus routes 6015 and 6006 have been withdrawn due to very low student numbers.
- For St Matthews and Windsor schools, minor route adjustments and timing changes have been made to Better match demand.
- Roadworks in St Clair have meant there are some temporary route adjustments for bus routes 4040, 4084, 4098, and 4584, operating to Emmaus, Trinity and Mamre College.
- Minor change to route 6055 and withdrawal of route 6006 to reflect new bell times at Walters Road Public School.
Previous bus announcements
June 2025 bus service improvement
From Sunday 29 June 2025, there will be timetable changes, more services and increased frequency of services. These changes are focused around the Penrith, St Marys and Blacktown areas.
Key changes include:
- timetable changes, more services and extended operating hours on routes 731, 770, 780 and 794
- all services on bus route 794 will extended to Glenmore Park Town Centre, improving access to local shopping and community services
- selected dedicated school services will be adjusted to better reflect demand and improve student access to bus services in some areas.
