VSCCS Bulletin 2
VSCCS Bulletin 2 provides the means for demonstrating compliance with the mandatory Australian Design Rules (ADRs) safety standards for tests that are not specified in the ADRs. It outlines different methods which can be used as alternatives to tests that are impracticable to enable a modified or an individually constructed vehicle to be certified in accordance with the Road Transport (Vehicle Registration) Regulation 2017 and the Vehicle Safety Compliance Certification Scheme.
Brake Assessment Manual
The ‘Brake assessment manual’ (the Manual) applies to all types of light motor vehicles, except motorcycles and mopeds. It is intended to be used to assess the brake systems in modified vehicles and individually constructed vehicles, including replica street rods, as part of the process for certifying the vehicle for registration in accordance with the Road Transport (Vehicle Registration) Regulation 2017 and the Vehicle Safety Compliance Certification Scheme. The Manual serves as an alternate pathway to compliance in respect of brake testing of these vehicles.
