When and how to register
NSW employers seeking an apprentice or trainee to fill a gap in your team can register at any time using the online form.
Once registered as a verified CAPS employer, you’ll gain access to the CAPS apprentice and trainee register, where you can:
- view suitable apprentice and trainee candidates
- contact the CAPS team to advertise or update current vacancies within your organisation
- request contact details for candidates you wish to reach out to.
CAPS disclaimer
The CAPS program facilitates connections between learners and prospective employers but does not guarantee recruitment outcomes.
Participation in CAPS:
- does not ensure selection or placement of employees
- final recruitment decisions are made solely by employers based on their criteria.
Please continue to seek recruitment independently, as registration with CAPS does not guarantee employer recruitment but is intended to support your search.
To allow employers to manage multiple applications fairly and efficiently, learners are not advised which employers have been provided with their details. Employers will make direct contact should they decide to proceed.
What happens next
- You will receive confirmation once you are approved as a verified employer within the CAPS program.
- If you identify a suitable learner for an available position, as a verified employer their details will be emailed to you.
- It is then your responsibility to contact the learner directly and follow your organisation’s usual recruitment procedures.
If you require assistance with the next steps to take on an apprentice or trainee, contact Training Services.
