Stage 6 Ancient History Exam Specifications

Amended Stage 6 Ancient History Exam Specifications are now available in the Assessment and Reporting Document p. 9.
The amendment is:
Section III – Personalities in their Times
At least one part will be worth 10 to 15 marks.
New Stage 6 exam support materials

Clarification is provided regarding the use of ‘interpretation’ in the rubric for relevant sections of the exam. The nature of sources that may be included in exam questions has been clarified.
New Stage 6 syllabuses and school-based assessment requirements
(Official Notice NESA 39/17)
New syllabuses and school-based assessment requirements are to be implemented from Term 1, 2018 for Year 11 and Term 4, 2018 for Year 12. The course will be examined for the first time for the HSC in 2019. Support materials, exam specifications and sample exam materials are available.
New Stage 6 school-based assessment requirements

New school-based assessment requirements are to be implemented from Term 1, 2018 for Year 11 and Term 4, 2018 for Year 12. Course-specific assessment requirements are included in the Assessment and reporting materials. Sample assessment schedules for Year 11 and Year 12 are available.
