Amendment to the Community and Family Studies Life Skills Stage 6 Syllabus
(Official notice NESA 30/22)
The amended Community and Family Studies Life Skills Stage 6 Syllabus is now available.
The naming convention for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual plus (LGBTQIA+) communities has been updated in the content and glossary.
Implementation commences from 2023 with Year 11.
New Stage 6 Community and Family Studies Life Skills Syllabus
The new Stage 6 Community and Family Studies Life Skills Syllabus is now available.
Implementation of the new syllabus will commence for the Preliminary course in 2014 and first HSC in 2015.
Key features of the new syllabus include:
- knowledge and understanding of the role various groups play for individuals and the community
- skills to participate effectively as a member of a group, including communication, goal-setting and decision-making skills
- knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to transitioning into post-school environments.
