New Stage 6 school-based assessment requirements
(Official Notice NESA 29/17)
New school-based assessment requirements are to be implemented from Term 1, 2018 for Year 11 and Term 4, 2018 for Year 12. Course-specific assessment requirements are included in the Assessment and reporting materials. Sample assessment schedules for Year 11 and Year 12 are available.

Summary of amendments to Food Technology Stage 6 Syllabus
The syllabus amendments:
- increase clarity of content and depth of study
- restructure the HSC Course to remove the Option Strands, Contemporary Food Issues: Nutrition and Marketplace
- replace the Option Strands with a new Core Strand, Contemporary Nutrition Issues focusing on diet and health in Australia and influences on nutritional status
- include four Core Strands each worth 25%.
