Students have the opportunity to achieve either SIR20116 Certificate II in Community Pharmacy or SIR30216 Certificate III in Retail through the 240-hour course in the revised Framework (4 HSC credit units).
Implementation commences from 2017 with Year 11. New course numbers for the revised Framework are detailed in the syllabus.
Students who commenced a Retail Services course in 2016 and are completing the course in 2017 will continue the courses as outlined in the ‘old’ Retail Services syllabus based on SIR07v3.3, also available on the NESA website. The 2017 HSC examination for Retail Services will be based on this ‘old’ syllabus.
2017 students who want to undertake the 240-hour Retail Services course in one year will also complete the course as outlined in the ‘old’ syllabus. Any student wanting to sit the 2017 HSC exam must complete the 240-hour Retail Services course from the ‘old’ syllabus.
